NEW JOINT VENTURE COMPANY WITH LEADING PLAYER IN CRUISE INDUSTRY FOR THE PROJECT REDFRICOAT

Nanto Protective Coating s.r.l. and Fincantieri S.p.A. are pleased to announce the Joint Venture Company for the project RedFriCoat (Novel process for producing reduced friction coatings for flowing fluids over solids) for cruise and military applications in marine industry.

Research and development activities will be focused on reducing the friction of fluids and specifically water when flowing over solid surfaces by repelling the liquids from the surface.

Nanostructured coatings open up new market opportunities in the global coatings arena. Properties such as corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance and other chemical and mechanical properties improve significantly using nanostructured materials. The added values will be durability, cost effectiveness, corrosion and fire protection high performances.
